— Reading Poetry
Sitting while watching the cloud floating up
I cannot help falling into a trance,
Entirely forgetting to chant
Forgetting to exclaim
And forgetting that this body is no longer mine
Ho ho, this body is no longer is mine ….
The breeze is gently thumbing through the pages
Birds among the blooms chirping
Voice of waters gurgling
A young boy’s coming up with a pot
The place around sounds as quiet as that in old Tan poetry of June
—- years under the shade of bamboos seem both real and unreal.
The twilight grows deeper
From somewhere is sounded a long sigh.
While I raised my eyebrows inspired—-
Outside of the glazed window
A cloud
like a monk under the ancient moon, floats away.
